The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association presented an award to U.S. Rep. Brian Babin for his exceptional and long-term support of professional and small-business truckers.
“We thank Congressmen Babin for recognizing that small-business truckers are vital to the economy and safety of our highways and for his tireless support for their causes,” said Todd Spencer, acting president and CEO.
The well-deserved award, which reads “In Appreciation as a Friend to Professional Truckers,” was presented to Babin by OOIDA senior member Danny Schnautz of Pasadena, Texas.
The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association is the only national trade association representing the interests of small-business trucking professionals and professional truck drivers. The Association currently has more than 160,000 members nationwide. OOIDA was established in 1973 and is headquartered in the greater Kansas City, Mo. area.
